My approach

From a young age I knew I wanted to help others. I first started my journey through becoming a yoga and meditation teacher, opened my first holistic center at 23, and another Yoga studio 7 years later. My experience in dealing with the mind and the body has also led me to become a psychotherapist in Beirut, Lebanon in my 20s and then again in New Jersey in my 40s.

My approach is evidence based and always client centered. I meet the client where they are today in their story and I guide them through both bottom up and top down approaches depending on what is available to them. I understand the ins and outs of the body through breath work, movement and mindfulness as well as the ins and outs of the mind through cognitive restructuring, narrative therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I am a trauma informed therapist with extensive experience in addiction, eating disorders, anxiety and depression utilizing both individual and family therapy.

Starting therapy can be a daunting task for many, I hope I can make it easier for you with my non-judgmental and laid back approach. My mission has always been to help my clients live their lives more fully by shedding their past, re-wiring their brain and connecting to the present.  I believe in going at a pace you are comfortable with whether you are looking for short term solution focused therapy or long term therapy. How to get started

You can book your free discovery call by phone or through the website. It is a quick phone call to make sure I am a good fit for your needs. You can also go ahead and book your first session if you are eager to get started and do not mind diving right in. I do tele-health and in-person appointments. I recommend in-person appointments for teens, children, couples, families and people in recovery from eating disorders or addictions.

Out of Network Benefits

Like most specialty providers, I do not participate in any insurance plans directly. If you choose, you may be eligible to use your out of network insurance benefits. You will be responsible for paying each session in full to book your appointment. You can pay through credit card check or Zelle. I will provide super bill upon request so you can submit to your insurance.

Advantages of Paying Out-of-Pocket Over Insurance

  • Your personal information remains completely confidential.

  • Your insurance company does not have access to your records and mental health diagnosis.

  • You get to decide how often you are seen, and the duration of treatment.

  • Your insurance company does not get to limit your sessions or justify receiving it by stipulating a diagnosis if none are warranted.

  • Your insurance company will never deny a claim or suddenly fail to cover services resulting in surprise personal payments.

My office is conveniently located in downtown Montclair. Office is spacious and private, not shared with other providers. You can choose to do in-person or telehealth sessions.

  • Individual Therapy

    Online or in-person, this is designated for individuals to process & explore their thoughts. Typically, meetings are weekly or bi-weekly. 55 min/ $175

  • Couple & Family Therapy

    In-person preferably, the couple or family explore their challenges, needs and wants in a warm & safe environment. 60 min/ $200

  • Intake Session

    Online or in-person, first session together, You will bring me up to date on your story & family history. We start to develop a plan for your mental health goals. 75 min/ $240

  • Discovery Call

    Optional phone call, where you briefly share why you are seeking therapy & how I may best help you. We can also discuss schedule and expectations. 15min/ FREE
